New Snare

I bought this snare recently to replace my 35 yr-old PREMIER one. This is PEARL's Signature Series "Chad Smith" snare.

I tried out several other snare drums, but this one sounded great from the first beat. I tend to go for metal snares, with a good "crack", which this drum certainly delivers. It's responsive enough for finesse playing too.

I took this photo using only available window light. It's not a great photo, but I hope you still like it.
